s/w companies vs kazhaga arasiyal...

I was literally amused by the way Azim Premji announced his son Rishad's arrival to take over the mantle from him. This was very much on the lines of the senior politicians in our country who initially will convey that their children will not step into politics or join their own party.

But every party leader has his own son and daughter (latest to join in the list being "kanimozhi" for DMK/MK). I didn't understand this hypocracy of quoting that my children / i will not enter politics and step into the same after few years in a timely planned manner.

The worst thing is that now software companies would follow the same as these munnetra kazhagams (which takes care of only their "munnetrams" and their families' munnteram). When I heard that rishad premji would be joining Wipro Munnetra Kazhagam, I was laughing at their Council's decision (Seyar Kuzhu mudivu...he he ellam namella edukarathu thaan...ketta Seyar Kuzhu...Sambhar Kuzhu nnu)

I hope all these companies will have dynastic politics as our kazhagams do have, where they have their own retirement plans (thank god jyoti basu got himself retired and MK still remains as not out !!) and their own succession plans...

In my observation, Parties and Companies both have so many things in common. They have missions and visions. They have their own quarterly targets / annual targets. They have their own committees which are elected democratically (he he "anna...enakku oru seat"...!!). They have very good marketing campaigns.....and fool the people with their own presentations. There is also an equally good number of foolish crowd in markets to follow the companies as in voters for parties.

If high command is criticized in any form, both parties and companies never like you and you would be expelled and stripped of your primary membership. All the parties (except national parties) work on linguistic flavours as i could see a striking resemblance in S/W companies originating from different states like AP / Karnataka have their own people in top management. Parties and Companies have been created out of Mergers and Splits (example DMK, RJD...Infosys, Igate etc).

Both have their own committee to meet the ethics but never do they follow one. Both have media friendly spokesperson to project their happenings. Both politicans and company promoters want Tax Sops...(Investor Friendly climate...appidina tax pay panna mattom..).

Nalla Plan...being a guy from family business, these guys can study from Harvard to Yale, aprum few years in consulting and back to soap /cement business.

Now I understand why companies will carry with dynastic rule ?. If Rahul's Son (born to columbian mother) can contest from rae bareli (who is going to speak hindi in spanish accent unlike his grandma who speaks in Italian hindi...), Why will Media Moghuls and Business tycoons will differ ?.
