Deep Thought....

The subject of today's blog, in my opinion, is one of the œuvre d'art (masterpiece of creation of God) next to water a.k.a Adam's Ale. If you can infer from the title, you get a pat from me. Its the "Human Brain". I always wonder how "bill gates" and next door neighbour "bhagyam mami", though both are gifted with similar brains, they differ in their extremities of thoughts.

I am not going to talk about cerbellum/spinal fluids...blah blah. The thing which fascinates me, still "where does a thought begin ? how do we initiate a thought ? what makes us to think ? - these sort of questions are the ones which fascinates me.

In our Uttar Pradesh a.k.a Brain, there is neither lockouts/hartals/strikes as our communist friends who keep doingin bengal, nor it experiences crashes, memory leaks etc as my office pc. If it is all that is true that "Mind is set to rule the world" as google, we could have courses to condition our minds instead of still reading about Ashoka and his roadside trees!!!.

Recently i had a discussion with my roomie on the man vs machine related challenges and how kasparov was finally defeated by IBM's brainchild. One interesting observation is, even brain works very much like the modern day computer, even though the latter is modelled on the former. Who knows, there might be a day where the smell/aroma of masal vada/sambhar could be captured as files and computers could identify it.

There are so many amazing inventions this mankind has come across and has participated, but still there are so many things which we have within us, which we find difficult to comprehend. what an irony !!!.

I was fascinated by shruti my friend and next door neighbour (aged 3), who was the only child which i had witnessed right from birth to the days of kinder garden. Her amazing sense to pick new words ("emote thaa" - give me the remote / "thathi" - for grandma etc) was a glorious sight to watch.

I was told that when i was kid, i used to cry for "shanka songs" (shankarabaranam movie songs) / "jajikanth movies". The point which i wanna make here is, how does a child's brain, understand that these are the words to learn / the music it likes. I have even observed from shruti, they are highly intelligent enough to understand whether we stare/smile/etc at them and accordingly play their cards.

Though i read recently more about the human brain the way we infer/reason, it is still a man's unexplored territory. For sure, never scold any man whether he has brains (moolai irukka!!!), as we know everybody has it, only a few realise to use it...

Will come back with me next observation...

haha... this is what is called as - chirag tale andera - darkness below the lamp. the mirror which shows everything can't show itself. the brain which understands everything couldn't understand how it works, at least not till now :)

For a child, a lot of things are learned through imitation. So Shruti saying 'emote ta thatthi' is her verbalisation of what she hears other people say. Everyone responds to incentives. So an action that induces smiles from people will be repeated.
