Ram - Nostalgia...

I was browsing through one of the archives at my home, where i got to see one of my favourite and most loved fotos of my brother Ram. I have never seen kids more than Ram when he was in childhood. Following were the snaps of kids in my family who are grown up...

- Ram was seated in an arm chair.

- Doesn't he look like the Farex / J&J kid ?

- Appidi yennada Kushi ?...

- She was the cutest girl child i had ever seen....my cousin nitya...There was time she resembled steffi...with monkey drop hair style...another cutie...

- Though I didn't like my fotos, this one was cute, one of the very few fotos where i am sitting quiet..eppadida...?

I had read this poem after watching Hey Ram and forgot to capture the beauty of the lyrics written by Jibonanda Das, probably mesmerised by the piano recital composed by Illayaraja (I am not sure whether it was stephen devasi who played the piece for IRaja - Nee partha paravaikku or Nandri...) Thanks to Geeman for tagging me and hailing me as a musical connoiseur. I have been planning to write an blog on music for a very long time and this was just a start from my favourites. I have tried to list down the best romantic duets in tamil films and here they are: TOP 10 romantic duets in tamil: Ulavum thendral katriniley - mandhiri kumari This was from the movie called mandhirikumari and this was one of the most romantic songs boat songs ever featured in B&W era. Probably doordarshan might be the only owner of this movie/print but still i enjoyed the tune (composed on the raag maandu which unfortunately tried in Iruvar's Narumugaye) and the tempo of the song set exactly as the tempo of the boat ride. Absolutely stunned by the philosophical and lyrical beauty of the song.....illaiyaraja once again proves why he alone can deliver such a song with substance. Even though it has been reused in the "Naan Kadavul" Film - the original version sung by Raja was class apart - with more meaningful / insightful rendition.
